                               RESOLUTION NO. 18947
                   
                   
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR 
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND THE 
                   CITY FINANCE OFFICER TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST, 
                   RESPECTIVELY, AN AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING 
                   SERVICES WITH HENSLEY-SCHMIDT, INC. RELATIVE 
                   TO THE WILCOX BOULEVARD TUNNEL FOR AN AMOUNT 
                   NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED 
                   AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($18,500.00), WITHOUT 
                   PRIOR APPROVAL.
                   
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department 
       of Public Works and the City Finance Officer be and are hereby 
       authorized to execute and attest, respectively, an Agreement for 
       Engineering Services with Hensley-Schmidt, Inc., relative to 
       providing professional engineering services to perform an 
       investigation of the physical condition of the Wilcox Boulevard 
       Tunnel and provide recommendations to improve its condition at a 
       cost not to exceed $18,500.00, without prior approval.
